Biomechanical Assessment
Examining your lower limbs, muscles, ligaments and tendons
We believe that understanding our clients’ lower-limb alignment, structure, strengths and weaknesses is at the heart of finding the right solutions and treatments for foot, ankle, knee pain or lower-limb pain. Our in-depth assessment gives us insight which means we can develop a treatment plan tailored to you to help us gain the best results possible.*
The assessment is based on evaluating the structure of the foot, the range of movements within the joints and the forces on certain joints within the foot alongside gait analysis and postural assessment. Gait analysis looks at the way you walk and move and how this affects your lower limbs. Postural assessment helps us build a picture of your posture to determine where improvements could be made to prevent and relieve pain and reduce uneven wear and tear of joints.

The power of foot orthoses
Foot orthotics can make a real difference in treating many kinds of foot and joint concerns. At Footworks Podiatry, we use an in-clinic 3D scanner to get a highly accurate image of your foot. This is then sent to the lab where technicians from a leading and advanced manufacturer create custom-made orthotics.
