A verruca can look like a small lump on the skin. Verrucas often form on the soles of the feet and toes. How Does It Work?
Swift® verruca treatment works by using microwave energy which is applied directly to the verruca using a specialist probe. Unlike traditional verruca therapies, the microwaves only travel to the actual verruca so the skin around it isn’t affected. The microwaves cause water molecules to collide with each other and create heat which treats the infected tissue (the verruca).
Treatment is typically carried out over 3-4 sessions and has a high success rate when completed in the recommended time frame. For best results, we recommend that patients visit the clinic for a 15-30 minute appointment once every 3-5 weeks for up to 4 treatments.
